Located in the heart of Downtown Nashville inside the biggest Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint yet, The Rutledge Room private dining and event spaces are filled with character, charm and elegance. Because they were constructed inside what was formerly The Rutledge, a listening room that featured scores of talented musicians over the years, Martin's decided to honor the history of the building and named the private dining rooms after the music venue. The resulting combination of flexibility, historical charm and quality dining provide for a truly unique and memorable experience.
All together The Rutledge Room can accommodate up to 110 people for a seated meal, or it can be separated into two rooms for smaller parties. The South Rutledge Room can seat up to 40 people and the North Rutledge Room can seat 70.
Offering both design and flexibility, the interior of the Rutledge Room is intended to suit simple, Southern taste or serve as a simple palate on which design ideas can come to life. The beautiful brick walls for which The Rutledge music venue was often recognized were preserved during construction and used to create the framework for The Joint, however the private dining rooms were given a softer, more delicate design as to allow for flexibility with guest decor. The boards used to create our stunning hardwood floors -- perfect for cutting a rug! -- were salvaged from an 85-year-old cottonseed factory in Chattanooga, TN. Beautiful, distressed barn wood covers the ceilings providing for a charming yet dramatic Southern look, while simple white shiplap lines the walls. Finally, exposed ductwork offers a touch of industrial-chic and the big sliding barn door offers privacy from the South room to the North room, if desired.
Our menus for The Rutledge Room are a mixture of Martin's Bar-B-Que favorites and a few Martin's family recipes. And just like everything else we serve, every bite is made from scratch - no freezers, no microwaves. While the Lunch and Dinner menus differ slightly, both of them offer a wonderful selection of real Southern tastes and flavors. We're sure you'll enjoy them.
Menus are subject to change and prices can only be guaranteed for 90 days from quote.
Because we believe the Rutledge Room to be a special occasion arena, we treat the service as such. Unless otherwise requested, meals are served family style and beverage service is available to suit the needs of your event.
